Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) signed a very important ‘Partnership Action Plan” today (Friday June 17th) with Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO).
TPSF (Tanzania Private Sector Foundation) is the Apex for all advocacy issues tied to business and other private sector activities in Tanzania. TPSF strives to continuously provide members with value added services. Mr. Godfrey Simbeye, the TPSF Executive Director, stated, “We continue to be the leading voice for promotion of a vibrant, innovative and competitive private sector in Tanzania.”
CESO (Canadian Executive Service Organization) receives support from the Canadian Government and has a contingent of over 700 expert volunteers from various sectors within the Canadian economy. Many of these experts have held executive and senior management positions within both the Canadian private sector and the public sector, and in their retirement years volunteer to provide technical and knowledge based assistance to businesses, governments and non-profit organizations around the world.
In 2014, CESO established office in Tanzania and is currently supporting SIDO and Tanzania Federation of Cooperatives.
The PAP will allow TPSF to bring Canadian Business Experts to Tanzania to assist all Private Sector Business operations. This (5) year Partnership Action Plan with CESO will be a benefit to all TPSF members and businesses in terms of capacity building. This type of technical support provided by CESO will be one of the resources envisaged to enhance the capacity of TPSF to deliver services that add value to its members and the private sector in general.
The expertise Tanzanian Business operations need is very wide and diverse, and as such CESO experts selected to work with TPSF will come with a wide assortment of skills and diverse backgrounds enabling CESO to provide assistance and training in many sectors.
The Partnership Action Plan provides for expert services in both hard and soft skills. Experts will be brought to Tanzania to provide assistance to specific TPSF members as well as to provide training seminars open to all TPSF members and stakeholders. A few of the soft skills include Business Presentations, Report writing, and Time Management. Hard Skill training will include Smart Advocacy and Lobbying, Public Private Dialogue, Business and Strategic Planning, Project Proposals, Project Management, Cash Flow & Debt Collection, Operations Efficiency, ISO standards, Sales and Marketing, Branding.
