Tanzania’s Value of Export declines – BoT

Tanzania’s exports of goods and services declined 3 per cent in March fresh data from the Central Bank indicates.

BoT Monthly Economic Review (MER) reveals that in March the country’s value of export amounted to Sh19.63 trillion ($8.9 billion) reflecting a 3 per cent decline from the amount recorded the same period in 2016.

According to the report, the decline occurred in manufactured goods and to a small extent in non-traditional exports.

Earnings from export of manufactured goods decreased to $879.7 billion from $1.4 billion a year ago.
