TANZANIA BUSINESSMEN TOLD TO EXPLORE BUSINESS AND TRADE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE IN CHINA

This week the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) in collaboration with the Tanzania embassy in China organized the Tanzania-China Business forum was held at Johari Rotana, and about 500 businessmen from both China and Tanzania attended virtually. In this forum H.E. Mbelwa Kairuki, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania in Beijing was the guest speaker while Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hon. Exaud S. Kigahe was the guest of Honor.

During his speech Hon. Kigahe welcomed Chinese companies and investors who have shown interest to invest in Tanzania. He urged the investors to not only see Tanzania as a place to market their products but rather as a potential place for investment. He encouraged both parties to explore available business opportunities.

“This forum is an opportunity for both countries to explore available opportunities in trade, investment, transfer of technology, services and products exchange. If we embark on a massive economic trade and investment cooperation between our two nations, we will undoubtedly witness the beginning of stronger economic and social relations between us” Stated Hon. Kigahe.

The event attracted investors and businessmen in China. The participation from Tanzania was equally encouraging with senior representatives like Sinotan Industrial Park Chairman, Mr. Janson Huang.

TPSF was presented by the Board Member Mr. Octavian Mshiu who also brought greetings from the Chairperson, Ms. Angelina Ngallula and the Board of the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation , an apex private sector organizations in Tanzania , whose members include Chinese Business Chambers , who also have Tanzania Chamber Of Commerce [TCCIA- China ] in China. TPSF forms an umbrella for the smooth bilateral relations among our private sector for both our countries here in Tanzania. The event was moderated by the Director of Policy and Membership Mr. Zachy Mbenna.
