TPSF Chairperson Ms. Ngalula officially launched the Tanzania Private Sector Day (TPSD 2022)

Wednesday, 9th November 2022, Dar es Salaam: The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) officially launched the Tanzania Private Sector Day (TPSD22). The event is set to happen on the first week of December, 2022.

Tanzania Private sector Day is a flagship multi-sector event organized by the Tanzania Private sector Foundation (TPSF) in collaboration with key private sector organizations and the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade to honor and recognize the contribution of the Private Sector to the country’s economy. The event will bring together that include captains of industry, CEOs, and senior government officials.

“The purpose of the event is to assess the milestones and accomplishments of the private sector during the period 2021-2022, while also highlighting the conducive business and investment environment that has driven socio-economic growth in the country under the leadership of H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan and her sixth phase government.” Said Ms. Angelina Ngalula, TPSF chairperson.

Increased trade activities as illustrated through trade with our neighbors have seen Tanzania’s exports to Kenya surge by 95.3%, contributing to Tanzania’s growth. Other noteworthy accomplishments of the private sector include growth in investment activity, employment possibilities, tax compliance and contribution, and access to new markets for Tanzanian products and produce.

In collaboration with an international consulting firm, Epvate & Fortune International Consulting (EFIC), and the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), TPSF will also award and recognize private sector companies and Private Sector Organizations (PSOs) that have demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the year.

“We will recognize companies in the following categories: and award most impactful CSR; most innovative start-up; environmental award for business,” added Ms. Ngalula.
